1. Go to System Preferences->User & Groups->Login Items and remove Boom
2. Open "Activity Monitor" search for Boom, quit/force quit Boom.
3. In Terminal run:
osascript '/Applications/Boom.app/Contents/Resources/UninstallBoom.scpt'

Sent to boom@globaldelight.com subject line: "Boom Feedback - Boom.app is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash - on startup on OS X v10.8.3/Boom v1.7"
I'm having the same issue. I just upgraded to OS X 10.8.3 and Boom v1.7 (I have the non-MAS version) and get the same error. I've written up some findings:
