I've been using Boom2 for a while and while I love the way it enhances my laptop audio I get what sounds like intermittent buffer hiccups lasting for 3-4 seconds at a rate of about every 4-5 minutes but ONLY when I use my S.M.S.L M2 USB DAC connected to either headphones or stereo line out.
Neither changing EQ presets or effect enhancements will get rid of hiccups. There are no issues when using Boom2 via bluetooth headphones or analog audio jack. DAC works fine only if I quit Boom2. This is a sample log from Console:

I'm using Boom2 v1.6.4 on a MacBook Pro running MacOS Sierra 10.12.6. Thanks in advance for your advice!
