Boom 2 (and 3D) and USB audio

Hi guys,

unfortunately I am experiencing an issue (both with latest version of Boom 2 and Boom 3D): the problem is when i try to play music on Spotify or iTunes the sound stutters instead of it being played smoothly.
I can listen to my audio with no issues for a minute or two, sometimes longer, then it starts stuttering for a second or two.
I tried to reduce the audio format to 44.1KHz 16 and 24 bit, and playing with higher rates up to 96KHz, but the result is the same.
I have no problem using Bose Headphones, Sony in-ear earphones or the internal speakers. And no problem if using RCA cable directly connected to the amplifier.
Most important: no problem on streaming the audio through the USB DAC without Boom apps.

I am wondering if the issue is something related to a sort of buffering problem and the way the sound is redirected to the USB.

Any help is really really appreciated.
