I'm experiencing loud popping, crackling, and overall static/distortion of audio coming out of both my laptop speakers and wired headphones.
This is certainly an issue with Boom2, because if I disable the software the problem no longer persists. However, when it's activated it happens once every 15 min or even less.
Is this a known issue that is being worked on?

Could you please launch audio MIDI Setup app on your Mac and check whether the sample rate for the app is set to 44100Hz? (Refer the attached screenshot)
If not please set the rate to 44100 Hz for Boom2Device, Built-in Output and any other connected device and check if it helps.
