Boom 2 Registration Error : You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be “www.global

I purchased Boom 2 as part of “Create Your Mac Bundle” at bundlehunt.com on 17 December 2015.
As a default, it's installed in Trial mode. I have the Registration Code but whenever I tried to register, I got this Error message instead (see attached image):

"Boom 2 Error
The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be “www.globaldelight.net” which could put your confidential information at risk."

I have emailed Boom 2 Support a week ago but have not heard back from them at all. Not even an acknowledgement that the email has been received.

Now the trial period is almost over and I would like to continue using the app, which I can't because the registration keeps on failing. As you can see, there is no option to register in other way. I could only click on “OK” which would bring me to Trial mode again. I have checked your website for alternative ways to register my Boom 2 app there to no avail either.

Would you please fix this so I can use the app that I have paid for. Thank you!

    Hey,

Could you please check if your system date and time is set to the current one? If not, you will get the same error. Please make sure that you are connected to the internet connection while registering your copy of Boom.

Also, please quit all other third party network related apps and check if it helps. We suggest you to use any other means of network and check if it helps. Also, you can try registering after 24 hour and check if it helps.

  • My system date and time is current. Always is. And yes, I am connected to the Internet all the time, including while registering my copy of Boom. I have tried registering several times after 24 hours, 48 hours, to no avail.

I do use Open DNS for security. If I have to disable this in order to register, does that mean your server is insecure?

    Thanks!

  • Didn't work for me though :(. I have disabled Open DNS, changed from my home wifi network to my iPhone hotspot from different provider. Still the same Error message :(

Is it possible for Global Delight to activate my registration from their side? They do have the registration number that the BundleHunt sent them a while back.

  • Hi, any help please?
  • Any help please so I can use what I have purchased... Very disappointing customer service!

    Hey,

Apologise for the delay in the response. Could you please uninstall Boom 2 within the app via Settings->Uninstall Boom 2? (Refer the screenshot) Also, delete all the files or components related to Boom 2 on your Mac. Restart your Mac.

Next, download a fresh trial copy of Boom 2 via www.globaldelight.com/boom and then register your copy of Boom 2 using the registration code provided to you and check if it helps.
  • I have done exactly as you recommended with no success!  The same message pops up, still can't register Boom 2! :(
  • I've tried your suggestion above - but it still doesn't work :(
Can't you activate my registration from your end?

    Thanks!
