Well, I got the "Boom" damaged and can't be opened. Delete "Boom" and download it again from the App Store" -message. Now I have no sound on my mac at all. I would gladly delete and download it again except that I have Boom 1x which is no longer available at the App Store and I'm still running on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 so I wouldn't be able to use Boom 2 in any case. I bought the application in 2012 and have an iTunes receipt so I must have gotten it via the App Store at the time. Please help and advise so I can continue to have audio on my computer, thank you.

Could you please check if your system date and time is set to the current one? If not, you will get the same error. Please make sure that you are connected to the internet connection.
Also, let us know the app version that was installed on your Mac.
Since, we have stopped the sales of Boom 1x app both from the App Store as well as our Web Store, it is not possible for you to download and re-install the app on your Mac with OS X 10.6.8
The original iTunes receipt says Boom v1.5 (+4). My Boom is version 1.8.1 -at least the system profiler indicates that is was last modified on 1/19/14 2:16 PM to that.
Can I just remove Boom to the trash from the applications folder and relaunch from the documents folder (BoomDevice.pkg and BoomDevice.pkg.zip)? I'm not very versed in computers as you can see, but I figured if I remove Boom with AppCleaner it would remove everything that's Boom.
Running SL 10.6.8 with Boom 1 and had to delete as it was damaged.
Shouldn't there be an alternate approach to support old users?
