I use Voila a LOT (mostly during webinars to take notes by saving images... I've been using Voila for quite a while now and I have about 10,000 images showing in Voila and perhaps there is a limit and that's the problem, but yesterday Voila suddenly stopped recording my screenshots. I get the darkened screen, select the area and click to take the shot and it seems to take the shot, but apparently doesn't... it doesn't save. At least it doesn't show up in the image database.
1. Is there a limit to how many images can be in the database?
2. I would actually like to not have so many images loading when I start the program and the more that are there the slower the save seems to be. Is there a way to clear old images off quickly? (So I don't have to do it manually.)
Thanks.

I was trying to find the images on my hard drive and did a search. I found what looked to be a library item and clicked on it and it came up empty. I'm guessing that I somehow have reset the image database and that the images still exist. (I HOPE!)
How can I find the images on my hard drive... AND, is there a way to restore the database of images. I really didn't want to completely clear the database. I'd still like a lot of those images to be easily available because I do refer back to them!
HELP!
Regarding your query, there is no limitations for storing the captures in Voila/Voila library. Make sure that you have enough disk space to store the captures/recording.
Yes, you can move your Voila library to a different location or back up all the files in Voila library to a new folder and then delete Voila library.
To do so, Could you please move Voila library to a different location/desktop and launch Voila.
- Quit Voila before you move the library
- To check library path, go to Voila Preferences (please refer screenshot to find default Voila library path)
Voila library contains all the data, which you worked in Voila until now. To view the contents, you can do a right click on Voila library and click on "Show Package Contents".
After launching Voila do a screen capture and a new library will be created.
If you wish to have all the previously captured Voila captures in new library then please do a right click on the old Voila library and click on Package contents>Images/Videos select all and drag and drop them into Voila tray.
As you have mentioned that when you click on Voila library it shows up empty, did the Voila app window come up empty? You cannot open Voila library until you do a right click on Voila library and click on "Show Package Contents".
If you double click on Voila library (while Voila app is quit), then Voila app will take up the same library as the preferred one and launch the app. Possibilities are, that either you have created another Voila library where all the 10,000 captures are stored or you might have accidentally deleted the current Voila library, do check in the trash if you have deleted. Also do a search via Spotlight for another Voila library.
