Remote App Will Not Connect

I just purchased the OSX version from the App Store and downloaded the remote app on my iPhone. Whenever I try to connect to my iMac, it just says I need to "Update Boom 2 on your Mac." I've restarted everything, re-installed everything, turned off the firewall, turned off Wi-fi (& turned it back on, of course)...nothing helps.

    We have released an update for Mac App Store version of Boom 2 recently. Please update your copy of Boom 2 to the latest version.
    Please try connecting Boom 2 Remote again and check if it helps.
