Select all canvas, replace with white

Hi, I've got a .png file I'm working with. I used the eraser to delete the English text in it. Now the canvas shows through. I used the Text tool to put in new text. When I save the file, the canvas (erased area under new text) shows up as gray. How can I select all places where the canvas is showing and replace that with white color?

Regarding your query, you can change the color of canvas by doing a right click on the image -> Canvas color.
