hi Guys,
For the past few days, I've received multiple popup message regarding BOOM. The message is as follows;
Incomplete installation
Missing some parts. Bad landing. Please reinstall.
I've reinstalled the software twice, but still getting the pop up.
Any idea what's causing this?
Thanks,
Alvin

Regarding your query, as you mentioned that you have reinstalled Boom twice, before reinstalling Boom, you need to uninstall Boom completely from your system. As you are unable to launch Boom, you will not be able to uninstall Boom within the app. Hence, you need to uninstall Boom manually. To do so, please follow the below procedure.
Could you please check for BoomDevice.kext in the following path System/Library/Extensions (refer screen shot), if present delete it and also delete Boom app, now ensure that BoomDevice has been removed from System Sound Preference (under output). Next restart the system.
Or
Please enter the following sudo command in Terminal.
1. Open Terminal (search in spotlight)
2. Enter the command
sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/BoomDevice.kext/
Hit enter.
3. Enter the system password when prompted (password will not be shown) hit enter again.
4. Ensure that BoomDevice has been removed from System Sound Preference, If not run the command again
5. Delete Boom app
Next, make a fresh install of Boom.
Please install Boom from the following link :
http://www.globaldelight.com/boom/download/1.1x/boom.dmg
If you have purchased Boom from Mac App Store then please re-install from App Store itself. Make sure that you use the same account which was used on purchase.
Note :
Please make sure to have only one copy of Boom in your system, also please make sure that you install Boom app in Application folder itself and not in any sub-folders.
