I am having intermittent loss of audio on OS X 10.8.1. Switching audio device in System Preference "sometimes" resolves this. I am using version 1.5.1 from the Mac App Store. Need a fix.
I'm still using Lion, 10.7.4. Purchased and installed Boom 1.5.1. Audio disappears constantly, even though web site says it's "fixed." Using Bluetooth speakers, maybe this has something to do with it? Don't know but I can't use Boom until this gets fixed.
Recently few users have reported that Boom has issues with Bluetooth headset/speakers. But with OS 10.7.4 update some times it works with some type of BT headsets while it may not work with few others. If you do not have BT issue, then could you please uninstall Boom and make a fresh install and check whether you still get the same issue. While uninstalling Boom, make sure that you do it within the app i.e setting->preference->uninstall. Next, install a fresh copy from the point of purchase.

All of a sudden the volume will go down and then shoot up, I've had to disable the app for this reason, any fix?
