Boom2 w/ Cog on Mac Yosemite

edited July 2015 in Boom Discussions
i used the trial version for 7 days and enjoyed the full control of my equalizer...theres was just one problem: after i changed a song (clicked next), or changed an album, boom says its working, but the sound completely drops as if it is no longer functioning.

i then decided "maybe this is just a trial error, urging users to purchase the product". NO. the same problem is occurring, and i am incredibly frustrated with this issue.

so, after each album i play through, or if i want to skip a song, i have to : quit boom, then re-launch boom, and it works fine.

how can i fix this issue?

sound : boom2
computer : mac pro desktop (2008)
OS : yosemite
music player : cog v .07

*PLEASE, do not suggest using itunes, or VLC, as i have, and can not stand those platforms.
my music library is 585gb, and i need a folder based program that does not need to load my entire library into its own platform.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
i am computer savvy, and i can not figure this out for the life of me.

  • Hey,

We downloaded the Cog app on one of our test Mac and tried to regenerate the issue from our end and we figured out that Boom2Device has to be selected under Cog audio Output settings in order to hear the boosted volume.
As Cog is a third party app, it has its own audio Output settings. Hence when Boom 2 is ON, you need to manually select Boom2Device under the Cog audio Output settings. (Refer the screenshot attached)
