No sound with Yosemite update to 10.3.3

Updated to Yosemite 10.3.3 and am having trouble with Boom 2. I have the current edition but I get no sound. Before the update from Apple, things were fine. But now, although the program says it's ALREADY running (via a pop up when I turn on my computer). It isn't.

Everytime there is an update from Apple, I have a problem with BOOM 2. Don't you guys talk to each other? Don't they let you know there is gonna be an update etc. and you create YOUR update or at least give your customers a warning or some type of information.

I brought my version directly from YOU, not the app store. Do they get updates, while we don't?

This is just getting pretty irritating.
