When I'm on a Google Hangout, the audio output is through the default internal speakers and is so low that I have to use headphones instead. Why doesn't Boom2 work with Hangouts?
I've been having issues with Hangouts as well. The people on the other end actually hear an echo from my end when Boom2 is turned on. So, whenever I use Hangouts, I turn Boom2 off.

The echo might occur if the other persons audio is re-captured via your microphone.
To avoid this you can try using a headset and check if it helps.
