Version 2 1.1.1 owner, trying to playback audio from YouTube and the audio was out of sync by a lot. Also had echo effect. When Boom was disabled, everything was fine. 12GB RAM iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010), 10.10.2. Using Chrome 41.
Could you please provide us with Yes/No answer with one line answer for the following sequences:
1. Does the sync issue occur after the launch of the Boom 2? 2. Or does it occur when you Pause/Play a music file or video? 3. If the sync issue occurs during watching a YouTube video, immediately check whether the issue occurs with the local files (any videos of your collection in QuickTime). If only in streaming video, specify the browser. 4. When you come across the sync issue, how did you try to get rid of it? 5. Which type of feature is mostly and currently used by you in Boom 2 when the sync issue occurs (Boom volume, equaliser or effects )? 6. Are there any external speakers or headphones connected to your system? 7. When the sync issue occurs, please open up your activity monitor and take a screenshot of the same and send it to us. 8. Also send us the full system config.
I have the same issue in latest Boom 2. Video is out of sync when streaming from Youtube or playing via VLC (version 2.1.5 64 Bit). When I turn off Boom 2, everything works ok (audio-video gets in sync directly). Using external speakers connected to my iMac 27" (late 2013). Problem seem to come and go, so it's not out of sync all the time... A restart of Boom 2 seem to temporary fix it.
No related errors in Console-log what I can see. Using Logitech speakers (2+1), unsure of model, but they go back a few years now.. They shouldn't be the issue, as the audio works as soon I turn off Boom 2.
Could you please check if you get any Boom 2 related logs in Console app when the issue occurs? Could you please let us know which external speakers are you using? Also, the source of audio? (streaming or via third party apps?)
Hi, I wrote answers at your questions yesterday and send it on this forum. Unfortunately I can see them anymore. Hope you got it anyway. (8) My config is : iMac 17' late 2009, Mac OSX 10.10.2, 16 Go Ram. (7) Here is a screenshot of the activity monitor :
Same exact issue here. Running a 2012 iMac 27" running 1.1.1 all audio is delayed immediately upon launching and is fine when quit. I have uninstalled it twice, and reinstalled, ran basic trouble shooting steps but nothing works besides turning Boom off. Which is extremely frustrating since I have not been able to use the app since I bought it 3 months ago and paid $15 for it to boot. There better be a fix soon or I will be asking for my money back...
When we receive sync related cases, we spend a good amount of time analyzing all details such as the service used in which the delay was observed, OS X version, browser (if at all) type/version, Mac hardware and many other details. Some times our QA team tries it hard to regenerate the issue in our test systems. The best option to do next is, contact our Support Team boom2@globaldelight.com for Boom 2 app and boom@globaldelight.com for Boom 1.x app and send us your Skype ID, we can have a Skype call and run few troubleshooting steps to diagnose the issue so that it would help our development team in fixing the same. More details and your cooperation can help us identify the issue. Thank you.
