Problems at startup since installing Boom 2

edited January 2015 in Boom Discussions
Ever since upgrading to Boom 2, when I have restarted my computer there is no sound. Each time, I have to go into System Preferences > Sound > Output and select OTHER sources before it jumps back automatically to Boom 2 and then sound starts playing.

I have no idea why, or how to resolve this. Please advise, thanks.

  • My issue is the following. The newly bought Boom2 is funky till I switch off the LCD TV what is connected to the mac (mini mid-2010) via HDMI. Sound goes off and if I switch back the TV, sound comes back for a while but after few seconds sound goes down again... at this point I have to switch to "Headphones" in the sound settings, then it switches automatically back to "Boom2Device" and the sound comes back again. Of course I do not want to leave the TV all day long switched on, however I really want to enjoy the music from the connected stereo (via headphone jack port).

If I send to sleep the mac, the problem is different a bit. When the mac comes back from sleeping, Boom2 icon disappears from the menu and there is no any sound. I have to start Boom2 manually and finally the sound comes back.

What's it? How can I solve this annoying issue? I've already tired to reinstall the app, no solution. When the Boom2 icon disappears from the menu, there is no any crash report what I could send to the developers...
