Just upgraded to Boom 2. I was involved in the beta also. However since installing the full version I can't on "Start Booming" at the end of the calibration process.
I have exactly the same trouble. Yosemite on a Late-2012 iMac. Didn't work with headphones in (didn't read the instructions initially) and doesn't work without them.
The trial worked fine, but the upgrade gets stuck there.
Quite surprising. We will look into this issue. So, essentially you updated the app to v1.0 from the Beta-3 (or earlier version) right? If there are any other issues or some sequence to regenerate, please let us know.
Little update. I couldn't uninstall Boom2 via the software as I can't click on "Start Booming" so I've killed the app on Activity monitor and dragged and dropped into the Recycle bin and deleted. I've downloaded the software again, this time it hasn't asked for my registration details and serial number. Just went straight though to the calibration.
Unfortunately the same issue has happened. Soon as it goes through the calibration process I can't click on "Start Booming" I've had to go back to the original version now. I also can't seem to remove Boom2 from the sound preferences.

I hate I keep piggybacking mhorton80's thread, but my experience is exactly the same. Once Boom 2 is open, the ONLY option is to 'Start Booming', which still of course does not work. I also cannot uninstall from within the software, so the reinstall doesn't help.
Is there a separate uninstall script we might could use instead?

Just thought I would update this thread. If anyone else is experiencing this problem, please upgrade to the latest version. Working correctly now. Not very happy with the way this has been handled. Had to wait 3 weeks for a reply.

Can you try un-installing the copy and re-install afresh from the website? http://www.globaldelight.com/boom/
