Voila version 3.8.1 is available for more than two weeks in the Mac AppStore. The trial version / the version you have to use if you bought Voila from your website is still version 3.8 and *not* compatible with OSX 10.10.
Here's another request for a downloadable version 3.8.1 from someone that has been using Voila before there was an app store. Voila loads fine on my machine in Yosemite, but doesn't put the icon in the menu bar, and seems to ignore any hotkeys that I've set. Hope we'll see an updater soon.

Voila website version has few functionalities different than that of the Mac App Store version. We are specifically held back due to 'Menubar' functionalities and registration related items on OS X 10.8. Our developers have found the fix but when we check on multiple Mac configurations, we are experiencing different issues (app crash and non-responsive during launch) and hence it's taking time. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused. We are hopeful of releasing the Voila website version 3.8.1 within the next 3 to 5 days.
We know it's important for all of you to get the new version working on your Macs running Yosemite. And our dedicated Voila team is putting their best effort and time to get this version released as soon as possible. We greatly respect your time, support, patience and co-operation you have extended, and Voila team is grabbing the spirits from you.
We have released version 3.8.1 of Voila for the website (non Mac App Store) customers that is compatible with OS X Yosemite.
Please click 'Check for Updates...' from Voila menu and download the free update. The update contains some bug fixes for 10.8, 10.9 and also runs smooth on 10.10; however, if you come across any issues do let us know.
We have updated the registration mechanism. It's important that you un-install Voila from the Mac which/if you don't use it. If you come across registration issues, do email to voila@globaldelight.com and we will assist you.
Finally, we apologies for the delay in releasing the update for our website buyers. We greatly appreciate and thank our customers who beta tested the app all these while. All of you were supportive and very encouraging with pinpointing some typical issues that we were able to fix. Just tried to update on my Macbook Pro with Yosemite. Get the Voila EULA, click agree, and then a popup stating: Network connection error: Please connect to the internet to finish the update.
I have no network connection issues as all other updates and net apps are sending/receiving just fine.
Updated to 3.8.1 via desktop app update notification. But the app won't recognize my previous library. I've updated preferences to point to it, but app displays no images from it.
Could you please check if the file server is down or if you are using a closed network? Please try with different network (preferably open) and check if it helps. Also, could you please check if you have firewall installed in your system? Could you please turn it off and check if it helps?
