I have now tried to install "Boom" several times. Each time I receive the message that the installation is incomplete and that there are parts missing.How can I get it to install correctly? Thank you!
Regarding your query, could you please install Boom from the following link and uninstall the older version: www(dot)globaldelight(dot)com/boom/
If you find Boom icon on menu bar then uninstall Boom within the application i.e settings>preference>uninstall.
If you are not able to find Boom icon in menu bar then please remove Boom manually from your system, please follow the instructions below.
Could you please check for BoomDevice.kext in the following path System(also User)/Library/Extensions (refer screen shot), if present delete it and also delete Boom app, now ensure that BoomDevice has been removed from System Sound Preference (under output). Next restart the system.
Or
Please enter the following sudo command in Terminal.
1) Open Terminal 2) Enter the command sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/BoomDevice.kext/ Ensure that BoomDevice has been removed from System Sound Preference, If not run the command again 3) Delete Boom app
Next, install a fresh version.
Make sure that you drag & drop the Boom icon to your application folder and then install it from the application folder.
