Used Mac App Store--can't get past trial version

I had downloaded and installed the trial version from Global Delight website. Then went to the App Store and purchased a copy. But when I open it it says it's a trial version.
Then I tried uninstalling and going back to the App Store to download it again, but can't since it is marked "Installed."
How can I get this Boom application without the trial version message showing up when I open it? Thank you.

    In App Store description, we have mentioned that you need to uninstall trial version of Boom within the app before installing the Mac App Store version.
    App Store says it is installed as the BoomDevice must still be present in your System Sound Preference from trial version. Have you tried uninstalling Boom within the app via Settings->Preferences->Uninstall.
    If not, please contact our Support Team, who will provide you with the script to remove the audio component. Next, you can reinstall Boom via Mac App Store.
    While re-installing from Mac App Store, make sure that you use the same account which was used on purchase time.
