For Mac App Store users facing issues with volume boosting, please follow these simple steps and update the audio component:
-> Open Boom's main interface and click on the 'Know More - Mac Volume' tab given on the bottom. -> Click on the 'Know More' button. This takes you to a page containing the latest audio component. -> Download the appropriate file and install it. This enables the system-wide volume booster feature. ->Once the installation completes, click on 'Done' in Boom window.
Sorry, I don't have this "Know More" button. I've performed all your recommended updates and downloads and fresh reinstalls and still when ever I go to activate Boom, ALL sound gets CUT OFF completely I'm running Mac OS X Mav.
It will work once the updated component is downloaded and install but as soon as I quote Boom and got back into the app it tells me I have to update again!
I am on a MacBook Air, OS 10.9 with App store v11.1.3
HELP! I am getting frustrated not being able to use the app that we have paid for
Could you please uninstall Boom within the app via Settings->Preferences->Uninstall and reinstall a fresh copy via purchase point and check if it helps.
I went into the app and there is no unistall function in preferences, this ridiculous. Just tell me how I can get my money back this app is getting too complicated to use
It seems that you have multiple copies of Boom installed in your system. Could you please check if you have the trial Mac App Store version under downloads folder? If so, could you please delete the same. There is an option to download the uninstall script to remove audio component (option appears, only if audio component is installed). As you have purchased Boom via Mac App Store, please contact Apple Support Team for the refund.
I had the boom trial on my mac. When the trial expired the program disabled my macs speakers. I have since then uninstalled the trial, bought the app and reinstalled the full version but I still cannot get any sound to come from my speakers. What can I do to fix this issue?
Could you please let us know from where have you purchased Boom? Boom switches automatically by itself when any audio output device is connected or removed from the system. Ideally when Boom is active, BoomDevice would be selected. It also depend on which external Output is being used. If you have been using internal speakers then click on the internal speakers or if any other external device like speakers, headphones (if Boom is active then the selection reverts to BoomDevice, this is normal), now play any audio file on your system and check if you can hear the boosted sound.

After installing the audio component, are you able to boost the volume of your Mac?
What the hell happened to Boom?
Clicking on the icon in the top bar does nothing now, can't boost my Mac sound anymore.
This is not the program I payed my money for. I guess this is a bug or something.
Please we people with this issue need help or hope about this to be fixed.
Thanks,
Jorge
