I got dozens of pop-up notices saying I needed to update Boom, and this evening I finally went ahead.
I get a video loop on my desktop that cannot be stopped or removed.
It's on top of all my windows, and I have to work "around" it.
It says "preparing your Mac for Boom" ... and just goes on and on ...
After a LONG time, I finally get an error message saying "installation Failed due to an internal error. Please click on Install to retry"
So I re-tried - same routine.
Now when I click on the Boom icon in my applications folder, I get an install window with 2 choices: cancel or install.
"Install" leads me to the same routine.
So I click "cancel", as it's the only way to get rid of that window.
I'm running 10.8.5.
Is this version for Maverick only???
I have NO way to get Boom on my laptop now.
Can't install it, can't go back to my old well-behaved Boom.
I rarely get software I have to pay for -
but Boom was so outstanding, that I felt it was well worth the money.
Please advise.
