1.8 + Mavericks = Fail

So, I updated to 1.8 via the App store. And, no surprise, Boom no longer works. So, I deleted it, and re-installed, again, from the app store. Still no workin'.

The issue is the system wide equalizer. When I switch to that pane(?), I'm greeted with the attached image. I believe, according to the fix, that it should say something else about learning system sound, then downloading a missing driver.

Anyone experience this?

I'm having a similar issue with the App Store version except I can get to the new driver page which is here: http://www.globaldelight.com/boom/boom-audio-component.html
Maybe try that Stomp442?

iTunes & Boom are updated as per the instructions.
Volume stuttering still persistent like this:
