So whenever I try to boost a song in Boom, all I get is the screen in the first picture. I also don't see the slider that I read about in the second picture either. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this?
Regarding your query, it seems that the plist of Boom is corrupted. Could you please uninstall Boom within the app via Settings->Preferences->Uninstall and delete Boom plist as mentioned below and check if it helps. If you are unable to uninstall Boom within the app then, please follow the below procedure and uninstall Boom manually. To do so, could you please check for BoomDevice.kext in the following path System/Library/Extensions (refer screen shot), if present delete it and also delete Boom app, now ensure that BoomDevice has been removed from System Sound Preference (under output). If present follow the procedure again. Delete any extra copies of Boom app in your system including the one in Launchpad. Also Could you please check in your System Preference->User & Groups->Login Items and remove Boom. Open "Activity Monitor" search for Boom, quit/force quit Boom if present. Also could you please check for com.globaldelight.Boom.plist in the following path User / library / preferences / com.globaldelight.Boom.plist (refer screenshot), if present delete it. Next restart the system. Now reinstall a fresh copy of Boom via purchase point.
