boom is one of my login items but after I upgraded to mountain lion it became erratic: some times it opens other times it does not. I have the latest version of both mountain lion and boom.
has anyone out there has the same problem? any solutions?
Regarding your query, could you please uninstall Boom completely from your system and reinstall a fresh copy. Are you able to access Boom via menu bar icon? If yes, then please uninstall Boom within the app via Settings->Preferences->Uninstall. Now ensure that BoomDevice has been removed from System Sound Preference (under output). Also Could you please check in your System Preference->User & Groups->Login Items and remove Boom. Open "Activity Monitor" search for Boom, quit/force quit Boom (if available). Next, could you please check for com.globaldelight.Boom.plist (there might be multiple, delete all) in the following path User / library / preferences / com.globaldelight.Boom.plist (refer screenshot). Now restart your system and check for the plist again. If present, delete it. Make a fresh install of Boom. To re-install from website version: www.globaldelight.com/boom If you have purchased from Mac App Store then please re-install from App Store itself. Make sure that you use the same account, which was used on purchase.
Please make sure to have only one copy of Boom in your system, also please make sure that you install Boom app in Application folder itself and not in any sub-folders.
