Audio not being recorded while recording video

Hi, new to this product.

I am able to record video as a screen capture, but not audio.

I wet to Sys. prefs and selected every input sound selection (Sunflower, internal, etc.). I have an iMac with OS 10.6.7.

Can anyone please help explain what i am doing wrong?
